# What a flat clearance in Foggia really costs

People who call want a number, and they're right to. The problem is that two flats of the same size can cost very different amounts, and anyone who throws you a price over the phone without seeing anything will change it when they arrive with the van. Here we explain what pushes the bill up or down, so when you ask for a quote you already know what we're talking about.

The things that move the price

The first factor is volume, not square metres. A two-room flat stuffed to the ceiling with thirty years of things takes more trips than a half-empty three-room flat, and trips are the item that weighs the most.

The second is access. Ground floor with the van parked in front of the door is not the same as a third floor with no lift in central Foggia, where you might even need a parking permit for the van. Every flight of stairs is time, and time is paid.

The third is the type of material. Furniture, mattresses and boxes go one way. Fridge, air conditioner, televisions, paint, batteries or asbestos have to be handled as specific waste, with disposal costs set not by whoever clears but by the facility that receives them.

What can bring the bill down

If there's stuff inside that can be resold or reused, that part is not a cost but a value, and it gets deducted from the quote. We also pick up used items for resale, so it happens often that furniture, pictures, tools or working small appliances lower the final figure.

Timing matters too. A clearance that can be scheduled during the week costs less than one that has to happen tomorrow morning because the keys go to the notary.

What a quote should contain
